Your PTFA
An active committee of parents, teachers and friends of the school, we work together to organise events primarily to raise funds for the school but also to increase awareness in the community. The funds we raise go towards purchases for the school that just wouldn’t be possible within the school budget.

(Chair) I have 2 older daughters at high school and 2 boys at St Nicks. One is in Acers, the other chestnuts. I am a newly qualified social worker and work full time. We lived as a family in Spain for nearly 10 years and moved back to the UK and Sturminster in 2013. I have been on the PTFA since 2016 and still love contributing to my child’s school and belonging to a great group of parents who love to do the same. |

(Vice Chair) Well I am MJ, Mary Jane ( only if you are my mother!) Mum, Mummy along with a few other choice names! I tend to respond to most 😀 I have lived abroad most of my life and went to boarding school in Edinburgh, moving to Dorset in 1996- I joined the PTFA in 2016 when Martha was in Reception. I work in Agricultural sales for a Welsh company in Sturminster Newton! Called Wynnstay. My area of knowledge is horses as that’s what I have done my whole life, but I have learnt about all aspects of farming in my time there! I have 2 children in school Martha in yr 5 and Isla in yr 2. We have ponies, dogs and spend our time juggling it all. |

(Treasurer) My son Finlay started in reception in 2013, going all through the school until end of year 6 in 2020. I joined the PTFA in December 2013 and have not left! Even though Finlay is no longer at the school, I have stayed on as I love the school and the PTFA are a great bunch of people committed to fundraising. The PTFA support the school by enhancing, enriching and improve learning for all pupils. I was also a Governor at the school for 5 years. I am a full time accountant with an aeronautical company and studying Egyptology& Hieroglyphics. |

(Secretary) I have two children Jack (12) Mollie (7) I qualified as a nurse nearly 2 years ago and now work full time in the community. I first joined the ptfa as a helper when Jack started school and then became a member a few years ago, I really enjoy the things we do and to see the children's faces when we manage to put on an event plus I have made life long friends! |
Claire Feltham | My name is Claire Feltham, Isabel and Harry are ex pupils of St.Nicholas. I have been on the PTFA for 10 years and seen many changes to the school since then. The PTFA’s roll within the life of the school is very important fundraising for the ‘special’ extras to improve the experience of our children while at Primary school. I am a Self employed Gardener and Cook |
Leo Tandoh |
I'm Leo, have lived locally for nearly 10 years. I have a daughter in Chestnuts and a younger daughter in the Ark. I run a forestry contracting business working in the local area. |
Sarah Bloyce |
Hi, I’m Sarah. Mum of two girls in Oaks and Acers. We moved to the school 4 years ago and I joined the PTFA straight away. Being part of the PTFA is a great way of helping the school raise funds for example: the children to take part in school trips by funding the coaches, buy the school new resources. I’m a full time carer and help when I can doing film nights, face painting, cake sales, raffles. The PTFA are a fantastic group of parents who are all so friendly and helpful. We all do what we can, when we can. |
