The children in Chestnuts, Willows, Ash and Oaks enjoyed attending a SAMBA Workshop on Monday organised by the Dorset Rural Music School, which received funding to support five local schools to promote health and wellbeing activities through music for Children’s Mental Health Week.    

The workshop was led by Felix Gibbons on behalf of the Dorset Rural Music School, who is a superb Samba musician.  Felix lived in South America for 10 years but is now based in the South West.

Each Samba workshop was bespoke to the age group that it was being delivered to and is an excellent way to build team spirit, communication, concentration and confidence, in addition to musical skills.  

The children had lots of fun!
