Coronavirus Advice for Parents
Covid 19 School Closures
All our schools are closed. We are providing a skeleton childcare provision in most schools but only for the children of critical workers and vulnerable children. This is a last resort option for parents who have no alternative. The Government message about staying at home is clear. The best place for children is at home so travel and contact is minimised. We thank all those staff in our schools for all they are doing both in schools and to help provide some continued learning. We appreciate the support from parents during this most challenging of times.

Dear Parents and Carers
As you will be aware the Government is closely monitoring the spread of the Coronavirus both in our country and abroad. As a school we take our advice from the DfE (Department for Education) and Public Health England. Current advice is that parents should not be unduly worried and that children should continue to attend school as normal.
We are being informed of the importance of personal hygiene and with this in mind we have spoken to the children about simple and effective hand hygiene messages. The link below gives advice and examples of what we can all do to try and minimise the spread of the virus.
We realise that is a potentially worrying time for parents and you may have many questions. The school website has up to date information about the virus and below are links to the latest advice from the DfE/NHS guidance:
In addition, to this the DfE have launched a new helpline to answer questions about COVID-19 related to education. Staff, parents and young people can contact the helpline as follows:
Phone: 0800 046 8687
Opening hours: 8am to 6pm (Monday to Friday)
As a school we will continue to closely monitor the developments and act on any advice issued to us by the DfE. In the meantime, if you have got any further queries please do no hesitate to contact us.
Ms J Watson
