The children have settled well after half term, especially as it was a wet holiday and they probably didn't get out to do a lot.

It's been a busy start to the half term with bonfire night, remembrance day and Children in Need. The children have looked at each of these events in class and they have been able to talk about them with great enthusiasm. In English, we have really enjoyed talking about fireworks and exploring different adjectives we can use to describe them. The children have produced some fantastic firework poems and used some of these adjectives to make them exciting.

In Maths, year 1 have been exploring ordinal numbers - 1st, 2nd, 3rd... and year 2 have started looking at addition.

In Science we have been looking at Autumn and as you know they continued this in their home learning.

When talking about Remembrance day, we were really amazed by how the children were able to talk about this in a thoughtful and caring manner. We honoured the 2 minutes silence in class and they showed great respect during this.
