Geography

Geography is taught through class projects which encompass a broad range of foundation subjects. Some projects are more heavily focused on geography, while others have lessons that are linked to or focused on specific national curriculum objectives. The project approach allows teaching of geography to be creative and engaging while also embedding a cross curricular approach to teaching.

Pupils are taught geographical skills and learn to collect and record evidence, make maps and plans, interpret globes; use secondary sources of evidence and IT.

Local and foreign localities will be studied in the course of their geographical studies. Other themes include: Rivers, Mountains, Weather, Settlement and Environmental Change.
