Visit from North Dorset MP, Simon Hoare
As it is UK Parliament Week, Oaks Class, Years 5 and 6, took part in a question-and-answer session with the North Dorset MP, Simon Hoare.
Simon Hoare came and visited the school where the children had the opportunity to ask him all about what being a MP was really like and how the role of Parliament differs to that of the Government. The children asked some fantastic questions, showed a great knowledge of the understanding of the Government and Parliament as well as learning about how young people can be involved in the UK Parliament. It was a very fun and informative morning!
